Hadar Chalet estate in the Buzău Mountains has been sold

The company Hadar Nature Resort SRL, which operates Nicolae Ceauşescu’s former hunting lodge in the Buzău Mountains, known as Hadar Chalet, has been fully acquired by Camelia Ioiţescu. The transaction involved the transfer of 100% of the share capital by Andreea-Adriana Toma, daughter of Buzău mayor Constantin Toma, for a total amount of approximately EUR 839.15 thousand (RON 4.39 million).

According to documents published in the Official Gazette, the transfer of the 130 company shares in Gura Siriului took place on January 27, 2026. Each share, with a nominal value of EUR 190.77 (RON 1,000), was transferred at a price of EUR 6,455.01 (RON 33,836.54), generating a net income of around EUR 814.35 thousand (RON 4.26 million) for the transferor. Following the transaction, Camelia Ioiţescu became the sole shareholder and administrator for a 20-year mandate, while Andreea-Adriana Toma was dismissed from the position.

Separately, the agency Romania Sotheby’s International Realty announced the sale of the Hadar Chalet property in less than two months after listing. The complex had been brought to market at an asking price of EUR 995 thousand and attracted three firm offers, although the final value of the real estate contract remains confidential. Consequently, the officially published amount of EUR 839.15 thousand corresponds exclusively to the transfer of shares in the company registered in 2011, and does not directly equal the property’s real estate purchase price.

The Hadar Chalet estate, located between Crasna and Gura Siriului in the Podu Calului massif at an altitude of 900 meters, comprises 41,198 sqm of land and a built area of 1,821 sqm. Built in 1985 as a hunting pavilion and acquired by the Toma family over two decades ago, the property was transformed into a luxury boutique destination and event venue by the mayor’s daughters, Oana and Adriana Toma. The estate includes eight double rooms, two junior suites, three deluxe suites, a penthouse, a restaurant, conference rooms, and recreational facilities such as a swimming pool, a zen garden, and a tennis court.
