Greece opens the tourist season in mid-May

Present in Bucharest, the Greek Minister of Tourism, Charis Theocharis, declared that Greece will officially open the tourist season on May 14, 2021.

He stated that Romania is the first country he is visiting after finalizing the season’s opening plan.

To enter Greece, tourists must meet one of three conditions: either present a negative test, proof of vaccination, or have recovered from the illness and present an antibody test.

Additionally, tourists may be randomly tested at the border with rapid tests, and those who test positive will quarantine in a hotel in Greece, with accommodation costs covered by the Greek side. As with last year, children under 10 do not require testing.
