Greece is the most chosen holiday destination by Romanians in 2017

According to a study conducted by AmFostAcolo.ro, Greece ranked at the top of Romanians’ preferences regarding holiday destinations, with over 25% of Romanians’ holiday choices for the 2017 season, followed by Romania with 13% in 2017, Turkey with 10%, and Bulgaria with 7%.
A significant increase was recorded this year for destinations in Spain and Italy (12%).
8% of respondents chose “other destinations,” generally destinations in Western Europe.
According to the responses, the average Romanian goes on 1.25 vacations per year. Thus, we can say that one in four Romanian tourists goes to two or more distinct countries in 2017.
The data was obtained through a survey on AmFostAcolo.ro between March 3 and March 31, 2017.
