The Spanish group Gran Via has purchased a 9,600 square meter plot of land from the retailer Lidl on the site of the former Baneasa bread factory in Bucharest. The Spaniards want to start construction work on a residential project that will have three blocks in October.
“The north of the capital is a very hot spot on the map of Bucharest and there are not many developments in the area,” stated Antoanela Comsa, general manager of Gran Via in Romania.
Gran Via has also developed the Timisoara 58 residential project in the west of the capital. Besides this project, in Northern Bucharest, near the Barbu Vacarescu-Floreasca office hub, the City Point and Metropolitan Aviatiei residential projects are also under construction.
