Government approved the allocation of 94.23 million RON for the restoration works of the Constanta Casino

On May 8, the Government approved the allocation of 94.23 million RON from the state budget for the restoration works of the Constanta Casino. Another 17.3 million RON will be allocated by the local authorities in Constanta, with the works expected to last 30 months.
The Executive approved the new technical-economic indicators for the Constanta Casino restoration project. The total value of the investment will be 111.5 million RON, of which 94.23 million RON will be covered by the Government, through the budget of the Ministry of Development, and 17.3 million RON by the Municipality of Constanta. The duration for completing the investment is 30 months, including 3 months for design and 27 months for the actual execution of the works.
The realization of the investment will be phased over 3 years, with an allocation of 49.8 million RON in the first year, 47.9 million RON in the second year, and 13.75 million RON in the final year.
At the beginning of this year, the mayor of Constanta, Decebal Fagadau, stated that the tender for the rehabilitation of the Casino could be launched in May of this year, with the intervention work approval documentation and necessary permits being completed by then.
The Local Municipal Council has, in fact, approved the handover of the Constanta Casino to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration through the National Investment Company, for its consolidation and restoration.
