Businessman Gheorghe Becali has purchased the Inter Hotel in the Venus resort for 6.2 million RON from the portfolio of the Interagro group, controlled by businessman Ioan Niculae and in insolvency since 2016.
Gigi Becali stated that he acquired the Inter Hotel in Venus for his family, and if Ioan Niculae wants it back, he will sell it to him, but at a profit.
The hotel unit was put up for sale in the spring for 8.9 million EUR, with the price being gradually reduced. The hotel had been renovated following a 10 million EUR investment and subsequently closed in 2013.
The hotel, built in 1971, has 5 floors, 98 rooms, a built-up area of 2,670 sqm, and a plot of 4,584 sqm, with direct beach access, two restaurants, and an outdoor pool.
