From May 1st, Romanians can travel to Canada with only an Electronic Travel Authorization

The Canadian Embassy in Bucharest announces that, starting May 1st, Romanian citizens who have held a Canadian travel visa in the last 10 years or hold a valid United States visa will be able to travel to Canada by air needing only an electronic travel authorization, which is granted quickly and simply.
Persons who do not meet these conditions will still require a visitor visa.
Additionally, all Romanian citizens will require a visa to enter or re-enter Canada by car, bus, train, boat, or aboard a cruise ship.
Compared to a visa, the eTA is granted more simply and quickly. The application is submitted electronically and is generally processed within minutes for a fee of 7 Canadian dollars.
The eTA is valid for up to 5 years and allows travelers to fly to Canada as frequently as they wish for short periods, generally up to 6 consecutive months, for study, transit through a Canadian airport, tourist visits, or business trips.
