Libra Bank is putting the Expocenter hotel (formerly Diplomat) up for auction, a 4-star property owned by businessman George Padure. The starting price for the auction is RON 31.2 million excluding VAT (EUR 6.6 million).
The public auction is scheduled for July 28.
The property consists of a 2,925 sqm plot of land and a building constructed on it with a footprint of 1,500 sqm.
The construction consists of three attached building bodies, structured as follows: building C1-body A with a height regime of B+GF+3F+A is completed and functional, building C2-body B with a height regime of B+GF+5F requires finishing works, and C3-connecting body ground floor, is completed and functional.
The hotel has 77 rooms and 10 apartments, and 3 more apartments can be arranged in the attic, 2 restaurants, 3 conference rooms, each with a capacity of 20-60 people, and 2 large event halls with a capacity of 200 people, a terrace, as well as parking spaces, according to Libra Bank.
Expocenter was reopened towards the end of last year, after investments in modernizing the unit for its affiliation with the Best Western chain.
