Former Anina Hotel Rehabilitated with European Funds

The Deputy Mayor with mayoral duties of Anina, Daniel Danu, has signed the financing contract at the headquarters of the Ministry of Development, Public Works, and Administration for the energy rehabilitation of the former hotel in the Steierdorf neighborhood. The building of the former Anina hotel will be rehabilitated using funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) under Component 10 – Local Fund.

The investment for the former Anina hotel amounts to approximately 1.3 million RON and includes rehabilitation works for the building’s exterior.

According to legislation, the next steps for this objective include drafting the technical project, conducting structural stability studies, and obtaining other necessary permits, after which the Anina City Hall will organize a tender to designate the company that will execute the works.

Given that, in the fall of 2020, the Government approved the certification of Anina as a tourist resort of local interest, the former hotel in the Steierdorf neighborhood could be reintroduced into the tourism circuit following modernization works on the building’s interior.
