Within the project call dedicated to the tourism and health sectors, the first three contracts have been signed for funding in the area covered by the North-West Regional Development Agency. Bihor, Cluj, and Satu-Mare are the leading counties.
The project call intended for the development of objectives in the tourism and health fields generated significant interest, demonstrated by the 26 companies that submitted their best projects. These can provide non-reimbursable financial support of up to EUR 1.5 million. The North-West development region will feel the effects of the EUR 40 million that these SMEs will invest in modern premises, innovative services, or jobs generated thanks to the support provided by European funds.
Small and medium-sized enterprises, regardless of their field of activity, need European funding to become competitive regionally, but especially to become relevant at a European level.
So far, of the 26 projects for which funding applications have been submitted to ADR North-West, 16 projects are in various stages of evaluation, and 7 of them are rapidly approaching the approval and signing of the funding application.
The 3 applications that have signed contracts with ADR North-West at this time are currently under implementation. The value of those signed contracts is nearly EUR 7.5 million and will be able to produce visible results for the communities in which they operate within 2-3 years.
The first beneficiaries are:
- OSTEOPROTECT Oradea recorded a turnover of RON 5,687,813 in 2023, a net profit of 1,102,209, achieved through the managerial effort and its 23 employees;
- MEDIMAGES Cluj-Napoca boasts a turnover of RON 11,065,969 in 2023, a net profit of RON 3,104,952, and 13 employees. The company ranked 1st in the Top Profit Romania Small Enterprises, CLUJ county, for sector 86: Human health activities in 2023, based on 2022 financial results;
- VITAL CLINIQUE Satu Mare, with medical activity in Ardud, achieved a net profit of RON 4,288 in 2023, with a turnover of RON 112,017 and 7 employees.
The beneficiaries consist of a medical clinic at European standards, a healthcare company diversifying its medical services, and a recovery center respectively.
