Developer Oracle Engineering, almost entirely owned by Atlantis Engineering and controlled by businessman Tiberiu Rada, is opening the Zero Gravity Center leisure complex in October in Ghiroda, near Timișoara. The project involves an investment of nearly EUR 9.5 million and includes Romania’s first freefall simulator (vertical wind tunnel). The company estimates an annual flow of over 100,000 visitors and business of approximately EUR 2.37 million in its first full year of operation.
Out of the total investment of EUR 9.5 million, approximately EUR 6 million comes from a bank loan, and nearly EUR 3.5 million from own funds. The most important component is the flight simulator, developed together with Aerodium Technologies, which required an investment of EUR 2.93 million (about 31% of the total) with an estimated payback period of seven years. Spanning over 3,200 square meters, the complex includes a wind tunnel, a Laser Tag center, play areas and party rooms, a restaurant, a fitness room, and a multifunctional hall, creating around 50 jobs.
The financial model relies on direct revenues of over EUR 1.7 million annually from operating the flight simulator and rent of around EUR 360,000 annually from partners managing complementary spaces. The remainder of the revenues up to EUR 2.37 million will be generated by commercial partnerships. In the medium term, the developer aims for annual business of EUR 2.5 – 3 million and expanding the network to other cities in the country.
Oracle Engineering, founded in 2013 and oriented toward entertainment since 2025, is 99.996% owned by Atlantis Engineering, following a capital increase of EUR 1.57 million carried out in October 2025. In 2025, Oracle reported a turnover of EUR 0.28 million and debts of EUR 5.23 million. Atlantis Engineering, fully controlled by Tiberiu Rada, is the largest company in a group of six construction and installation firms with cumulative turnover of EUR 9.28 million in 2025, reporting its own revenues of EUR 5.35 million. In the installation companies Atlantis Security and Alcortech Engineering, the entrepreneur is associated with Florea Raoul-Radu, who holds a 49% stake.
Located near Timișoara International Airport and the borders with Serbia and Hungary, the center has access to a regional market of about 5 million residents, including cities such as Timișoara, Arad, Novi Sad, Subotica, Szeged, and Kecskemét. The project also targets professional or sporting uses, pursuing training partnerships with the Romanian Air Club, the Romanian Skydiving Federation, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
