The Electric Castle 2017 music festival, which will take place between July 12-16 on the Banffy Castle estate in Cluj County, will attract 130,000 participants, of which 10% are foreigners from over 30 countries, estimates the Eximtur travel agency. Last year, foreign tourists represented 8% of the total number of participants.
The 5th edition of the festival brings over 200 artists to nine stages.
Eximtur has launched packages for this festival that include accommodation and passes for all concerts announced for this year’s edition, starting from 790 RON/person at a 2-star guesthouse, with four nights of accommodation and a General Access Electric Castle pass, and up to 230 EUR/person at a 5-star hotel, with three nights of accommodation and a General Access Electric Castle pass.
Electric Castle is the first festival in Romania to move electronic music and live concert sounds to the indoor or outdoor stages of a castle. Since its first edition in 2013, the festival has been nominated every year in the finals of the European Festival Awards in the “Best Medium-Sized Festival” category, alongside established names in Europe.
