Overnight stays registered in tourist reception structures in November 2015 totaled 1650.2 thousand, an increase of 17.9% compared to those in November 2014. Of these, overnight stays of Romanian tourists represented 80.9% in November, while overnight stays of foreign tourists represented 19.1%.
Regarding the overnight stays of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 72.9% of total foreign tourists, and of these, 82.3% were from countries belonging to the European Union.
The average length of stay in November 2015 was 2.3 days for Romanian tourists and 2 days for foreign tourists. The net occupancy rate of accommodation places in November 2015 was 27.1% for total tourist accommodation structures, an increase of 2.3% compared to November 2014. Higher occupancy rates in November 2015 were recorded in hotels – 35.3%, tourist guesthouses – 16.7%, hostels – 16.3%, tourist villas – 16.1%, student and preschool camps – 15.9%, motels – 14.8%, and agritourism guesthouses – 12.5%.

The most arrivals of foreign tourists accommodated in tourist reception structures with accommodation functions came from Germany – 254.5 thousand, Israel – 202.3 thousand, Italy – 195.8 thousand, France – 127.7 thousand, and the U.S.A. – 123.3 thousand.
