European Commission Launches New Call for DiscoverEU Travel Passes

The European Commission has launched a new call for applications for DiscoverEU travel passes, which allow 18-year-old Europeans to travel for free within the community space.
In the previous two rounds of the program, held between 2018-2019, nearly 7,400 young people from Romania applied, with a total of approximately 1,900 individuals being selected.
In total, the European Commission has awarded 50,000 travel passes through DiscoverEU to date.
Young Europeans can submit their applications until November 28 to obtain one of the 20,000 travel passes available through the fourth round of the program.
Selected individuals will be able to visit Europe for free between April 1 and October 31, 2020. Candidates must be 18 years old as of December 31, 2019, must be citizens of an EU member state, and must be willing to travel between April 1 and October 31, 2020, for a maximum period of 30 days.
Those interested in participating can submit applications through the European Youth Portal. 
The Commission intends to launch a new registration round in the first half of 2020.
