The Minister of Tourism, Mircea Dobre, announced that several Chinese investors, who purchased two non-functional hotels in the Saturn resort, will build several hundred holiday apartments in their place. The Minister recently signed the approval for the investment’s urban planning certificate.
At the end of last year, the company Alternative Green, with Chinese shareholders, purchased the Alfa and Beta hotels in Saturn from THR Marea Neagra.
Mircea Dobre does not know the exact amount of the Chinese investments, but sources from the seaside tourism market speak of EUR 5-6 million.
