€165M Investment in Skorpios Island Luxury Resort Development, Greece

The Greek government has published in the Official Gazette its approval for the construction of a luxury complex on Skorpios Island, located off the western coast of Greece, which formerly belonged to the family of the famous shipowner Aristotle Onassis.

The project includes the construction of a 5-star hotel, a spa center, an amphitheater, the development of a farm and an orchard, swimming pools, sports facilities, and two yacht piers. The investment is estimated at EUR 165 million. The complex will be completed in the summer of 2024.

Skorpios Island, which covers an area of 83 hectares, was sold in 2003 by the granddaughter of the famous Greek shipowner to the Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev.
