Dutch businessman Jerry van Schaik has announced his intention to sell 100% of the shares held in Rembrandt Hotel SRL, which operates the hotel of the same name and the Klein café in Bucharest’s Old Town. The starting price is EUR 350,000.
The sale is part of a repositioning of Jerry van Schaik’s business activities. He stated that he will focus on new projects and will start a business promoting Romania to tourists from the Netherlands and other Western European countries.
“We do not have a fixed sale price, but we have an estimated value of EUR 350,000 and we will organize an auction that will last a few weeks. We are now waiting for offers. There are already interested people. The transaction includes only the business, not the building, which is leased,” said John Soleanicov, the Dutch entrepreneur’s financial advisor.
The boutique hotel was opened in 2005 and has 16 rooms. In 2015, the hotel had an occupancy rate of 86.7% and sales of EUR 447,000.
The Klein café was recently transformed into a café-restaurant, following an investment of EUR 20,000.
