Dragoș Petrescu Plans Entry into Romanian Hotel Market

Businessman Dragoș Petrescu, owner of the City Grill group, is preparing to enter the hotel market by purchasing 3-4 star hotels in Bucharest.
At the beginning of the year, Dragoș Petrescu joined forces with other businessmen to build an event complex in Corbeanca, within Paradisul Verde, which he describes as the most spectacular project in the field in northern Bucharest, an investment of approximately EUR 10 million.
Now, Petrescu is interested in either buying 3-4 star hotels, exclusively in Bucharest, or taking over the management of such accommodation structures.
City Grill recorded a turnover of RON 81 million in the first six months of this year, up 15% compared to the same period last year, an increase driven by the contribution of spaces opened last year, as well as investments in refurbishing older units.
