Dragos Anastasiu Launches New Travel Agency Brand – TravelBrands

Businessman Dragos Anastasiu, former president of ANAT and owner of the Eurolines group, is developing a new travel agency brand. This brand joins TUI TravelCenter, also owned by Dragos Anastasiu, and aims to attract customers with below-average incomes.
Anastasiu aims to open 40 locations in the next 2 years and position the TravelBrands brand among the top five players in the field at the national level.
TravelBrands is a tourism hypermarket that gathers the offers of all tour operator brands from Romania and Germany in a single agency.
TravelBrands has already opened 6 agencies in Romania, two of which are in Bucharest (Plaza Mall and Sun Plaza) and the others in Cluj, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Targu Jiu and Vaslui.
So far, summer vacations in Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania have sold the most in TravelBrands agencies.
TravelBrands’ development strategy mainly targets expansion into smaller cities in the country where TUI TravelCenter is not present.
For this year, the travel agency network has budgeted a 12% increase in sales.
