Dertour interested in acquiring a Romanian travel agency

The German tour operator Dertour intends to buy a large Romanian travel agency and is looking into several names.

According to several market sources, these include two of the largest local travel agencies – Paralela 45 and Eurolines, owned by Alin Burcea and Dragos Anastasiu, respectively, as well as Cocktail Holidays, the Goicea family brand, and Holiday Office, the agency owned by Mircea Vladu’s daughter.

Dertour is already present on the Romanian market, for 14 years, with its own office, being the only direct official representative, and not a franchise, of a German tour operator in Romania.

Radu Colfescu, the general manager of Dertour Romania, refused to comment on this topic but did not deny the tour operator’s intention to make a large investment in Eastern Europe.
