The Culturise project unites Romania and the Republic of Moldova through sustainable tourism and cross-border cooperation.
Forty people took part in a tour of the Republic of Moldova from June 10 to 11. The trip was made possible by the Culturise project, which valorizes the cultural heritage of Romania and Moldova through sustainable tourism and social inclusion.
“Solidaritate și Speranță” Foundation announces the launch of the project “Culturise – Culture and Sustainable Tourism for Social Inclusion and Innovation in the Republic of Moldova and Romania” funded by the European Union through the Interreg Next Romania – Republic of Moldova Program 2021-2027.
The project, worth € 329,779.91, runs for 14 months and started on March 13, 2025.
The aim is to promote cultural heritage and sustainable tourism in the cross-border area, which includes the counties of Iasi, Botosani, Vaslui and the districts of Chisinau, Orhei, Soroca and Ungheni.
The project aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova by promoting common cultural heritage.
Expected results include: a cultural map of 40 tourist attractions, online and face-to-face promotional campaigns, two cultural exchanges and a festival with 180 participants, a best practice guide and 13 joint action plans, and support for 130 people to explore the newly developed cultural itineraries.
The visibility of the project will be ensured through press conferences, website, social media and multimedia materials.
“Solidarity and Hope” Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded on 12 August 2002, under the patronage of the Archdiocese of Iasi.
The members of the organization implement social, educational, medical and cultural programs aimed at supporting vulnerable people in the community. The Foundation is accredited as a provider of specialized social services and is a founding member of the Romanian Patriarchate’s “Filantropia” Federation.
Currently, the Foundation runs 8 social centers and 9 branches in Iasi, Botoșani, Neamț and Suceava counties. Among the services offered are social canteens, day centers for children and the elderly, counseling centers for alcohol and drug addicts, as well as social assistance and home care services.
