Over 60,000 tourists brought by cruise ships from Germany, Austria, or France are expected this year in the Danube Delta, as Ukrainian authorities seek to expand collaboration with Romania and Bulgaria, countries that have seen increasingly better results in attracting this type of tourist in recent years.
The President of the Danube Delta Destination Management Association, Catalin Tibuleac, believes that main attractions can be jointly identified for the two countries to present as a common offer to travel agencies and cruise organizers.
In this context, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Danube Delta Tourism Destination Management Association from Romania and the communal organization of the Izmail City Council, the „Izmail Investment Support Office” from Ukraine.
