Construction Works Increased by 4.7%

In May 2015, the volume of construction works increased compared to the previous month by 12.3% as a gross series, while as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, it decreased by 2.8%. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the volume of construction works increased both as a gross series and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 4.7% and 7.0%, respectively. In the period 1.I.-31.V.2015, the volume of construction works increased compared to the period 1.I-31.V.2014, both as a gross series and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 10.2% and 10.8%, respectively.

May 2015 compared to April 2015

The volume of construction works increased as a gross series by 12.3%, an increase highlighted in maintenance and current repair works and in new construction works by 28.9% and 10.0%, respectively. Capital repair works decreased by 3.1%. By construction objects, increases occurred in engineering works and residential buildings by 19.9% and 12.5%, respectively. Residential buildings remained at the same level compared to the previous month. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, an overall decrease of 2.8% was recorded, highlighted in capital repair works by 12.8% and in new construction works by 0.9%. Maintenance and current repair works increased by 8.9%. By construction objects, non-residential buildings and engineering works decreased by 2.2% and 1.6%, respectively. For residential buildings, an increase of 3.5% was recorded.

By structural elements, increases occurred as follows: maintenance and current repair works by 12.9%, capital repair works by 8.6%, and new construction works by 0.6%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased for non-residential buildings by 19.8% and for engineering works by 6.6%. Residential buildings decreased by 17.5%. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased by 7.0%. By structural elements, increases were recorded as follows: capital repair works by 21.8%, maintenance and current repair works by 11.2%, and new construction works by 3.1%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased for non-residential buildings and engineering works by 21.0% and 1.6%, respectively. Residential buildings decreased by 10.4%.

The volume of construction works increased overall, as a gross series, by 10.2%. By structural elements, increases occurred in capital repair works by 18.3%, maintenance and current repair works by 12.3%, and new construction works by 7.9%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased as follows: residential buildings by 16.9%, non-residential buildings by 8.2%, and engineering works by 9.4%. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased overall by 10.8%. By structural elements, increases were recorded as follows: capital repair works by 21.9%, new construction works and maintenance and current repair works by 10.2% each. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased as follows: residential buildings by 23.3%, non-residential buildings by 12.2%, and engineering works by 0.3%.
