Construction Works Increased by 10.8%

In August 2015, the volume of construction works increased compared to the previous month by 5.2% as a gross series, while as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, it decreased by 0.4%. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the volume of construction works increased both as a gross series and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality by 10.8% and 10.6%, respectively. In the period 1.I-31.VIII.2015, the volume of construction works increased compared to the period 1.I-31.VIII.2014, both as a gross series and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality by 11.1% and 11.4%, respectively.

August 2015 compared to July 2015

The volume of construction works increased as a gross series by 5.2%, a growth highlighted as follows: capital repair works by 13.7%, new construction works by 4.5%, and maintenance and current repair works by 2.3%. By construction objects, engineering works increased by 11.9%. Decreases were recorded in residential buildings and non-residential buildings by 8.4% and 1.6%, respectively. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, an overall decrease of 0.4% was recorded, highlighted as follows: maintenance and current repair works by 5.9%, capital repair works by 1.5%, and new construction works by 1.0%. By construction objects, decreases occurred in residential buildings and non-residential buildings by 7.3% and 6.5%, respectively. Engineering works increased by 3.6%.

August 2015 compared to August 2014

The volume of construction works increased as a gross series by 10.8%. By structure elements, increases occurred as follows: maintenance and current repair works by 27.2%, capital repair works by 22.8%, and new construction works by 3.0%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased for engineering works by 37.6%. Non-residential buildings and residential buildings recorded decreases of 16.9% and 9.9%, respectively. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased by 10.6%. By structure elements, increases were recorded as follows: maintenance and current repair works by 20.8%, capital repair works by 10.0%, and new construction works by 2.1%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased for engineering works by 27.6%. Non-residential buildings and residential buildings decreased by 19.4% and 5.8%, respectively.

The volume of construction works increased overall, as a gross series, by 11.1%. By structure elements, increases occurred in capital repair works by 16.3%, maintenance and current repair works by 13.8%, and new construction works by 9.0%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased as follows: engineering works by 14.9%, non-residential buildings by 8.7%, and residential buildings by 2.6%. As a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, the volume of construction works increased overall by 11.4%. By structure elements, increases were recorded as follows: capital repair works by 17.6%, maintenance and current repair works by 10.7%, and new construction works by 10.3%. By construction objects, the volume of construction works increased as follows: non-residential buildings by 11.3%, residential buildings by 9.1%, and engineering works by 5.5%.
