Christian Tour to operate in the corporate segment as well

Christian Tour travel agency, the largest charter holiday operator in Romania, has announced its entry into the corporate segment, with the company set to establish a new department dedicated exclusively to this sector.
In the first four months of this year, Christian Tour recorded a turnover increase of approximately 20%. For this year, the company estimates a turnover growth from EUR 52 million in 2014 to EUR 63 million this year.
Furthermore, the agency recorded an increase in holidays sold: by the end of April 2015, 38% of the estimated number of tourists for this year had already purchased a stay from Christian Tour, stated Marius Pandel, the company’s CEO.
Pandel stated that because the agency has grown significantly and due to the desire to develop new departments and business lines, it was decided to move the Christian Tour operational center to a new headquarters. The new offices will cover an area of approximately 1,000 sqm and will be organized to integrate all the Christian Tour group brands: Pegas Holidays, Europa Travel, Vuelo.ro, etc.
“Additionally, we continue to aim for the development of incoming tourism, primarily because we strongly believe in tourism in Romania and want to help its development. And a large part of the services requested by the corporate segment is for domestic tourism services,” added Marius Pandel.
“For corporate and incoming tourism, the plan is to change the ‘reactive’ way tourism is practiced in Romania, in the sense that, in most cases, tour operators respond to predefined tourist requirements and do not come up with unique proposals and ideas for them. For this reason, we have already begun an intensive study of all destinations in Romania, precisely to find unique tourist attractions and special activities to propose to foreign tourists arriving in our country. And these will be found in the form of excursion packages with numerous activities included and all sorts of holiday ideas across Romania,” concluded Marius Pandel.
