The tour operator travel agency Christian Tour sold holiday packages for 5,464 tourists, worth approximately 1.6 million EUR, during the Romanian Tourism Fair.
Marius Pandel, CEO of Christian Tour, stated that the most sought-after destination remains Greece, with the islands of Crete, Rhodes, Zakynthos, Lefkada, and Corfu standing out.
According to him, the most popular Turkish destination remains Antalya, preferred by families with children. The most requested hotels in the resort are 5-star ultra all-inclusive establishments. At the same time, Spain, Mallorca, and Tenerife are becoming increasingly attractive to Romanian tourists.
Pandel maintains that the surprise of this edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair was the cruises, noting that the most requested itineraries were the Mediterranean Breezes, the Northern Fjords, and the Baltic Capitals. As for cultural circuits, there was high demand for pilgrimages to Israel and Jordan, particularly during the Easter holiday period.
For the Easter holiday, Romanians chose mountain and spa resorts: Prahova Valley, Poiana Brasov, Baile Felix, Sovata, and Vatra Dornei.
During the fair, discounts reached up to 80%, and booking bonuses were granted based on the number of people (“Pay 1, 2 go!”) and the duration of the stay (“Pay 7, stay 9 nights!”, “Pay 7, stay 14 nights!”).
For this year, Christian Tour aims to reach sales of 63 million EUR and record a total of 230,000 tourists who will use the agency’s services.
