Travel agency Christian Tour recorded sales of 4 million EUR during the four days of the Romanian Tourism Fair, 30% more than the spring edition of last year.
The special packages launched at the fair were also available in all Christian Tour agencies and partner agencies across the country, as well as online.
Early Booking discounts of up to 50% combined with offers created specifically for the fair brought the company over 9,000 buyers at the agency’s stand and in offices nationwide, who primarily booked a stay for the 2019 summer season, but also purchased Easter and May 1st vacations.
Regarding the foreign destinations preferred by Romanians, the most bookings were made for Greece, with over 3,300 people purchasing vacations in a resort in this country.
In second place among the preferred destinations for Tourism Fair visitors was Turkey, especially the Antalya resort, followed by Egypt.
As for exotic destinations, the most sought-after packages during the fair were 7-night all-inclusive stays in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), while new destinations requested by tourists included Jamaica and Cuba.
Domestic destinations were also sought after by Romanian tourists; those who bought vacations these days focused especially on the Romanian seaside, where Mamaia and Eforie Nord were the most requested resorts, and the spa areas.
