Between October 21-25, the Ministry of Tourism organized an infotrip in Romania for 11 tour operators from China. During this infotrip, representatives of the travel agencies visited sights in Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu, Alba, and Timisoara.
The documentation visit takes place in the context of the EU-China year and was carried out with the support of the European Travel Commission.
The representatives of the Chinese agencies visited the Palace of the Parliament in the capital, the Astra and Brukenthal museums in Sibiu, Peles and Bran castles, the Alba fortress, the center of Brasov, and other representative landmarks.
The organized infotrip is part of a broad campaign to increase Romania’s awareness as a tourist destination. In addition to these documentation visits, the Ministry of Tourism organized six other infotrips attended by foreign journalists, in the context of promoting Romania along with taking over the presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2019.
