CCIR President: Tourism will reach a significant share of GDP when certified accommodation matches Romanian police statistics

Tourism will reach a significant share of the country’s gross domestic product when certified accommodation matches Romanian police statistics, stated the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mihai Daraban, last week.

“I want tourism to reach a significant figure in the gross domestic product. This will probably happen when officially certified and recognized accommodation matches Romanian police statistics. The current edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair is the last one hosted in the current Romexpo pavilions. From next year, we will organize the fair in the new pavilions, which are currently awaiting ISU approval,” said the CCIR president.
