Restaurants, cafes, shops, and other businesses, such as cinemas or clubs, that do not comply with the measures for preventing and combating Covid-19 imposed by the authorities, will risk, in addition to a fine, the suspension of their activity for a fixed period of at least 2 weeks.

The Government will draft, at the proposal of the National Committee for Emergency Situations, a normative act in the coming period for this amendment, announced Prime Minister Florin Cîțu.

He says it has been observed, after the relaxation of restrictions, that more and more economic operators are not complying with the remaining restrictions, and fines do not discourage them. The Government’s decision comes after, at the end of January, theaters, cinemas, restaurants, bars, cafes, and gambling halls in Bucharest were reopened at 30% capacity.
