Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek are among the Hollywood stars promoting Bulgaria in a video released by the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism.
The three actors praise the diversity of Bulgaria’s landscapes, which makes it ideal for everyone in the film industry who wants to shoot in spectacular and affordable locations at the same time. They are joined by other celebrities, such as Adrien Brody or Jason Statham.
„The video didn’t cost us even a single lev,” said Nikolina Angelkova, Bulgaria’s Minister of Tourism. „After the Harry Potter films, tourism in England increased by 50%. Game of Thrones, filmed in Croatia, increased the popularity of this country as a holiday destination," she exemplified the reasons why Bulgaria wants to focus on promoting its links with Hollywood.
The video will first be screened in Los Angeles, at the opening of the film The Judgment, Bulgaria’s proposal this year for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
