The Bucharest City Hall will organize a public contest to create a representative logo for Bucharest, to be used in all forms of visual communication. The winner will be awarded 50,000 RON, according to a draft resolution unanimously approved in Tuesday’s session of the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest (CGMB).
The contest will take place between March 18 and April 20, and any person at least 18 years old can participate. The winner will be announced on May 3.
According to the draft resolution, the logo must "reflect the historical tradition of Bucharest with elements that take into account current trends.”
The winner will be determined by a jury appointed by the General Mayor, consisting of a representative of the city hall, a representative of the Romanian Academy, the director of the Bucharest Municipality Museum, two representatives from branding agencies, two representatives from advertising companies, a sociologist, and one representative each from the National University of Arts in Bucharest, the "Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism, and the Union of Plastic Artists of Romania.
