The mayor of the resort, Mik Jozsef, stated that the opening will take place between December 15 and 20, as the center is currently in the licensing phase, and staff selection is largely finalized.
Construction of the spa and balneotherapy center in Borsec began in 2011, with the majority of the funding provided by the Ministry of Regional Development, which allocated 13.5 million RON. The total investment is approximately 8 million EUR.
The balneotherapy center includes a spa center and a treatment base, covering an area of 2,900 sqm and having a capacity of 1,000 people per day during the summer season and 700 people during the winter.
It will offer indoor and outdoor pools, a Finnish sauna, an infra-sauna, and a steam sauna in the spa area, while the balneo area will provide various treatment options, such as mud wraps, massages, or hot and cold mineral water therapy.
