Starting with this year’s summer season, charter flights will be introduced from Brussels, Paris, and Beirut (Lebanon) to Constanta, and the number of charter flights from Tel Aviv will increase to 4 flights per week.
Thus, nearly 10,000 foreign tourists will arrive on the Romanian coast this summer, stated Corina Martin, president of the Litoral-Delta Dunarii Association.
The charter flights from Brussels, Paris, and Beirut are operated by Blue Air, starting in May and taking place once a week. From each destination, 1,000 tourists are expected on the Romanian coast, mainly for Mamaia and more recently for Vama Veche.
Also, between February 2 and 5, the Litoral-Delta Dunarii Association is participating in the Belgian Tourism Fair, where a press conference will be held to present Mamaia, Vama Veche, and the Danube Delta, together with Blue Air, and will launch the 2017 Coast and Danube Delta catalog for the Benelux market.
Corina Martin estimates that over 2.2 million tourists will arrive on the Romanian coast this summer, of which 9,000-10,000 are foreign tourists.
