Bison Land – The World’s Best Green Destination
Bison Land in Neamt has secured first place in the Top 100 Sustainable Destinations competition, People’s Choice Award category, the Ministry of Environment announced on Monday.
According to a ministry press release, Bison Land – Tinutul Zimbrului in Neamt is the only microregion in Romania that has managed to reach and maintain its position in this exclusive ranking from 2017 to the present.
Representatives of the Ministry of Environment state that Bison Land is the only place in Europe where bison can be found simultaneously in the wild, semi-wild, and in captivity.
The Green Destinations Story Awards 2022 ceremony took place virtually on March 11.
