The company’s journey began in Craiova, when in 1994 the Craiovița Inn laid the foundations for what Bacolux Hotels Romania is today, a Romanian business that has written many thousands of beautiful vacation stories. The company started back then with just 25 rooms and today totals over 800 rooms in all its hotels across the country. Part of the group are Bacolux Craiovița, Craiova, Bacolux Diana, Herculane, Bacolux Afrodita Herculane, Bacolux Koralio, Eforie Nord and starting this year also Bacolux Santis in Covasna. Incorporating several segments of tourism, all Bacolux hotels host events as well as services for the business tourism segment and the hotels in Herculane and Covasna also include the health tourism segment with medical centers and local natural resources. The Bacolux Group has 100% Romanian capital and wanted to provide Romanian tourists with tourism services that are competitive with the European market, invested in capitalizing on natural resources such as thermal and mineral waters or mofetes through its spa and balneary centers. Bacolux has won more than 60 national and international awards, including “InnovativeSpa Concept” at the ESPA Innovation Awards 2019, Croatia, “Employer of the Year” at the Top Hotel Awards 2021 and “Best Spa Design” at the Spa Awards Romania 2023.
