Arsenal Park Transilvania Invests €3M in Bike Paths, Free Fall Device, and Zip Line

Following a €3 million investment, the Arsenal Park leisure complex in Orăștie has benefited since July from a 9 km network of bicycle paths, a PowerFan device for free falls from a height of 30 m, and a 570 m long zip line.
PowerFan Jumps is the only activity of its kind in the country, and the zip line is currently the longest in Romania, consisting of a single segment.
The investments in the complex owned by brothers Marius and Emil Cristescu are part of a €6 million leisure project and add to already completed objectives – an adventure park with six routes of varying difficulty for children and adults, featuring over 70 platforms and devices located at heights of up to 25 m, a synthetic ice rink, a 1,500-square-meter concrete skate park, and a horse riding leisure center.
A children’s playground has also been opened within the Arsenal Park complex, featuring equipment for climbing, balancing, exploration, tunnels, slides, carousels, swings, and seesaws.
Additionally, an Aqua Park will be completed by the end of this year following a €2 million investment, and 12 horses for riding will be brought in over the coming months.
Arsenal Park is a holiday complex with 220 accommodation places where tourists can practice various activities, including military training, airsoft and paintball battles, shooting with firearms, airsoft and paintball weapons, archery, tracked carrier rides, draisine competitions, golf cart rentals, bicycles, go-kart bikes, or Segways.
Spanning an area of 88 hectares, Arsenal Park is also the largest military technology museum in Romania, with over 150 exhibits.
The project is co-financed through REGIO – Regional Operational Programme 2007-2013: European Regional Development Fund 55.33%, state budget 4.67%, and the remainder, the beneficiary’s contribution (40%), based on the financing contract concluded with the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration.
