Arrivals recorded in tourist reception structures in April 2016 totaled 725.6 thousand, an increase of 13.7% compared to those in April 2015. Of these, 74.8% represented arrivals of Romanian tourists and 25.2% were arrivals of foreign tourists.
Regarding the arrivals of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 73.5% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 85.4% were from countries belonging to the European Union.
Overnight stays recorded in tourist reception structures in April 2016 totaled 1471.5 thousand, an increase of 12.8% compared to those in April 2015. Of these, 75.8% represented overnight stays of Romanian tourists, and 24.2% represented overnight stays of foreign tourists.
Regarding the overnight stays of foreign tourists in tourist reception structures, the largest share was held by those from Europe – 71.8% of the total foreign tourists, and of these, 84.4% were from countries belonging to the European Union.
