Aro Palace SA announces on October 28, 2024, the signing of a franchise agreement with the international hotel group Hyatt, marking the emergence of “Hyatt Regency Aro Palace Brasov”. The contract confirms the hotel’s official entry into Hyatt’s prestigious portfolio, following the signing of the letter of intent in February. The next step in the implementation of this project will be the approval of the investment budget by the General Assembly of Aro Palace SA Shareholders. This budget is essential for the launch of an extensive renovation plan that will bring the Aro Palace hotel up to Hyatt Regency brand standards. The investment will focus on modernizing the spaces to align with the Hyatt hospitality experience while maintaining the historic charm of the building. “We are delighted to bring Hyatt Regency to this property in collaboration with Aro Palace S.A. The hotel has been an important part of Brasov’s history and we look forward to serving both the local community and international guests in a truly unique venue. We are confident that Romania’s medieval cities and stunning natural landscapes will contribute to the growth of our World of Hyatt member base and lead to further Hyatt expansion in the country.” said Takuya Aoyama, Vice President of Development at Hyatt. The Aro Palace Hotel renovation is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and will include all areas of the building. The historic wing will undergo a total transformation to become an executive-standard area. In total, 250 guest rooms and suites, along with spa facilities, bars and business lounges will be upgraded to meet Hyatt’s international standards while preserving the hotel’s unique architectural and cultural heritage. Upon completion, Hyatt Regency Aro Palace Brasov will offer a world-class experience for both leisure and business travelers. During the refurbishment process, the hotel will remain operational, with the official opening as Hyatt Regency expected in 2027.
