Aro-Palace SA allocates new funds for the Mercure Brasov Center project by signing a EUR 2.1 million contract

Aro-Palace SA is advancing investments in the project to convert the former Hotel Capitol into Mercure Brasov Center, signing a new contract for the execution of mechanical installations, worth EUR 2.1 million plus VAT. The renovation and reconfiguration of the hotel located at 19, Eroilor Boulevard is being carried out in partnership with the Accor Group.

This new financial commitment complements the portfolio of contracts previously initialed for this objective, which includes a EUR 3.17 million agreement for architectural works, signed on November 25, 2025, and a EUR 3 million contract for construction and special facades, signed in September 2025. As the beneficiary, Aro-Palace SA has secured the investment by including specific clauses concerning guarantees of good workmanship, the rectification of any defects, the protection of intellectual property rights and the application of penalties in the event of delays attributable to the contractor.

From a technical point of view, the project foresees the adaptation of the building to the standards of a three-star classification, the future hotel will have 179 rooms located on floors 1-6. The works involve restoring the facades while preserving the architectural plasticity, as well as structural interventions such as the removal of some ground floor and mezzanine buildings and the extension of the accommodation. The height scheme will be modified by converting the partial technical floor into a partially set back 7th floor, where a terrace will be installed. The maximum height of the building will remain unchanged at 31.6 meters, while the footprint will be reduced by 42 sqm.
