ANT representatives consider 2015 a good year for the tourism industry

The President of the National Tourism Authority, Anca Pavel-Nedea, stated that 2015 was a good year for players in the tourism industry, highlighting primarily the 9% VAT on public catering services for the tourism industry and the regulations regarding holiday vouchers.
“These are two initiatives that have boosted the local hospitality sector. 2015 was the year in which we prepared, together with representatives of the private business environment, bold support initiatives for companies operating in this field. These initiatives will be implemented in the coming year. Although 2015 was the last year we benefited from European funds for promoting tourist Romania and the tourism brand, I am optimistic and believe in the marketing, promotion, and representation strategy that the Authority’s team, together with private sector representatives and other public institutions, is preparing for 2016,” stated the ANT president.
The strategy aims to promote Romania’s values “whether human, traditional, commercial, historical, or cultural on an international level, so that at the end of 2016 we can declare that we have succeeded,” the ANT representative specified.
