The unit was sold as part of a package including Warimpex’s holdings—the owner of the hotel managed by the Austrians from Vienna House—in 7 other hotels in the Czech Republic and Poland, for which Warimpex will receive approximately EUR 180 million.
The assets acquired by U City Public represent half of Warimpex’s total real estate portfolio.
Vienna House is the largest independent Austrian hotel chain. The company will continue to manage the 8 hotels even after the transaction is completed, which is estimated for this summer.
Warimpex estimates that the sale of the hotels will have a positive contribution to this year’s financial results of 15 to 20 million EUR.
