The number of real estate transactions rose by nearly 10% in the first four months of 2016, compared to last year, approaching 300,000 contracts. More than 15% of the real estate transactions in this period were registered in Bucharest and its surroundings, according to the latest report from the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI).
ANCPI statistics confirm the field experience of real estate agents: 2016 activity in the real estate market is significantly more intense than last year.
In the first four months of the year, 296,669 real estate transactions were registered nationwide. Compared to the same period in 2015, the volume increased by nearly 10%.
– The most real estate transactions were registered in the first four months of 2016 in Bucharest (28,830), Ilfov (16,192) and Timis (14,604)
– The counties with the fewest properties transacted in the same period are Covasna (2,881), Gorj (2,694) and Bistrita-Nasaud (2,482)
“In April 2016, 84,768 properties were transacted nationwide, a decrease of nearly 5,000 compared to the previous month. Compared to April 2015, the number of transactions increased by approximately 16,000. In April 2016, the most real estate transactions were concluded in Bucharest – 8,453, Ilfov – 4,754 and Timis – 4,207,” detail ANCPI representatives.
The number of mortgages and privileges registered in the land registry nationwide in the first four months of 2016 was 58,758, an increase of 7,500 compared to the same period last year.
In the period January-April 2016, 2.1 million cadastral and land registry operations were registered nationwide, an increase of approximately 74,000 compared to the January-April 2015 interval. During the mentioned period, the most cadastral and real estate advertising operations were registered in Bucharest, Timis and Ilfov. The fewest cadastral and real estate advertising operations were registered in the same interval in Gorj, Mehedinti and Salaj.
