The authorities in Alba Iulia are intensifying their efforts this year to attract investors and increase tourism. In this regard, the municipality has adopted a series of measures designed to encourage potential investors to open business locations here.
Among these, the most important are the provision of free land for investments exceeding 1.5 million euros and the possibility of purchasing the land in question if investments exceed 5 million euros, under the conditions of the law and benefiting from the institutional agreements in force.
Free land can be granted to a company that invests at least 5 million euros in fixed tangible assets; it can be sold directly to the company, but not earlier than the completion of the investment, at the real estate market price, established through an independent evaluation. For this initiative, which began in 2007, the Alba Iulia City Hall has made available plots with an area of 30.21 hectares in the Drambar area and over 13.855 hectares in the Ratu Mare area.
