Accor Intends to Open Over 1,200 Hotels by 2027

Accor has announced that it wants to open over 1,200 hotels by 2027. For 2023, the French hotel group is counting on an increase of between 15% and 20% in revenue per available room (RevPAR). It also expects an operating profit ranging between 920 and 960 million EUR.

Accor CEO Sebastien Bazin mentioned that this growth is due to “the confirmation of a very extensive international demand across different countries, a summer season that will be good based on current data regarding reservation levels, and therefore demand is increasing for all segments of the group and in all geographic areas.”

At the same time, the French group expects an annual growth of 9 – 12% in operating profit from 2023 until 2027. During the mentioned period, Accor intends to reward shareholders with 3 billion EUR via dividends and share buybacks.

The hotel group owns 5,000 hotels, residences, and resorts in 110 countries. Accor operates a network of 12 hotels in Romania, with approximately 1,641 rooms in Bucharest, Sibiu, Constanta, and Arad.

In its development plans for Romania, Accor wants to open another 11 new hotels until 2022, which will add 1,510 new rooms to the French group’s portfolio.
