The Government has approved the opening of a Romanian-Serbian border crossing point on the Bega Canal, between the localities of Otelec in Romania and Srbsk Itebej in the Republic of Serbia.
The border crossing point will be open daily, between 08:00 and 12:00 (Romanian time), and from 07:00 to 19:00 (Republic of Serbia time), respectively. Additionally, the parties may agree, at the request of either side, for the Otelec – Srbsk Itebej border crossing point to operate outside the scheduled hours mentioned above.
The transport of dangerous goods, live animals, and products subject to phytosanitary control will be prohibited through the new crossing point.
