Businessman Gheorghe Badea, first vice president of the Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, will inaugurate a 4-star hotel near Vidraru Dam, on the Transfăgărășan route, next spring. Named Monte Vidraru, the project represents an investment estimated at 7–8 million EUR and is designed to attract both leisure tourists and the business travel segment.
According to statements made by the businessman for FinanciarPress.ro, construction will finish in the autumn of this year, following an acceleration of work carried out over the past three years. The new complex will feature an accommodation capacity of 60 rooms and will include amenities such as a restaurant, bar, conference room, indoor pool, dry and wet sauna, salt room, and fitness room.
The property is located near the Cumpăna Tourist Complex and strengthens the network of accommodation facilities owned by the Argeș investor in the region. Gheorghe Badea’s portfolio also includes the Capra and Cumpăna chalets, as well as the Posada Vidraru hotel, with the new project aiming to meet the demand for premium hotel services in the Făgăraș Massif area.
