4-star hotel near Vidraru to open next spring

Businessman Gheorghe Badea, First Vice President of the Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, will inaugurate a 4-star hotel near the Vidraru Dam, on the Transfăgărășan route, next spring. Named Monte Vidraru, the project represents an investment estimated at EUR 7-8 million and is designed to attract both holidaymakers and the business travel segment.

According to statements made by the businessman for the FinanciarPress.ro publication, the construction site will close this autumn, following an acceleration of work carried out over the past three years. The new complex will feature an accommodation capacity of 60 rooms and will include facilities such as a restaurant, bar, conference room, indoor pool, dry and wet sauna, salt room, and fitness room.

The facility is located near the Cumpăna Tourist Complex and reinforces the network of accommodation spaces owned by the Argeș investor in the region. Gheorghe Badea’s portfolio also includes the Capra and Cumpăna chalets, as well as the Posada Vidraru Hotel, with the new project aiming to meet the demand for premium hotel services in the Făgăraș Mountains area.
