36 wayside crosses from the Șchei district have been introduced into the tourist circuit through a project initiated by the Brașov Metropolitan Agency, with the support of the County Council and the Brașov City Hall.

The inclusion of these wayside crosses in a project aims to capitalize on Brașov’s built cultural heritage and broaden the cultural offer of Brașov by bringing the cultural heritage of Șcheii Brașovului to the attention of the local population and tourists,” stated historian Alexandru Stănescu, author of the album Wayside Crosses and Crosses of Șcheii Brașovului.
