34 Million RON Investment in a New Gondola Lift in Sinaia

This year, the Sinaia City Hall will invest 34 million RON in a new gondola lift, part of a broader investment campaign in the resort.
Mayor Vlad Oprea stated that the gondola’s construction will be completed by the start of the ski season in December, and the funds are sourced from a bank loan.
Since 2007, investments totaling 35 million EUR have been carried out in Sinaia for several objectives, including the gondola, chairlift, snow groomers, and mountain huts, with the resort benefiting from a total of 50 million EUR in EU funds.
This year, Sinaia will also have a promotion campaign worth 20,000 EUR, running over a 9-month period, which includes participation in international tourism fairs in London and Berlin. The campaign will promote the ski area, the bike resort with mountain bike trails, as well as the availability of public transport and parking spaces.
Approximately 150,000 tourists visit Sinaia annually during the ski season (December-May), 30% of whom are foreigners.
