22 Million EUR Investment for the Construction of a Ski Slope in Borșa

The Minister of Tourism, Bogdan Trif, has signed the financing contract for the Olympic ski slope in Borșa, a project of national interest. Thus, approximately 22 million EUR will be invested in Borșa for the construction of a 2,650 m ski slope, and the Ministry of Tourism will contribute 90% of the base investment.
The project also includes an artificial snowmaking system, slope lighting, the completion and modernization of the gondola lift, a multi-story car park with 80 spaces, and snow grooming machines.
According to the contract, the ski slope should be completed by 2021 and will be intended for both amateur skiers and the organization of sports competitions.
The Minister of Tourism is set to sign three more important projects for Romanian tourism in the near future in Constanța, Sibiu, and Călărași.
